Coatings+ is SSPC’s annual conference, bringing together coatings professionals to network, exchange ideas, and connect with top industry vendors. I led all photography and videography during the event, and was responsible for planning, scriptwriting, and producing all video marketing materials. For Coatings+ 2020, I also designed the full-color and single-color logos, along with two nine-foot-tall industry illustrations for the event space due to the company not having large enough image files to enlarge.
The original Coatings+ logo was created in Photoshop with layered brush strokes and hundreds of blended colors, making it difficult to scale and unusable for large-format applications. Since it wasn’t vectorized, it appeared blurry when resized and couldn’t be easily adapted. I stepped in to create a clean, simplified vector version with a refined color palette—ensuring it could be scaled seamlessly and used across all mediums, including black and white formats.
